I have been reading an interesting book called Sacred Economics by Charles Einstein. He makes some very interesting points about how we have been separated from our neighbors and community because of the lack of gift exchanges. Instead of having a friendly neighbor watch our kids, now we pay someone to do it. Instead of helping someone with their needs, we expect payment in return. This book helps being the idea of a gift economy to a reality, and I think I would like to contribute to the idea.
If any of you would like a gift artwork, please let me know and I will see what I can do. It may take some time since I will have to be making it during my free time away from work, but I think this could lead to something beautiful.

private drawings such as sketches, portraits and various handmade drawings. Due to the fact that it is not possible to hide folders, I decided to use this form of collecting my works

How the time flies
I came back on DA when I received a notification email. Then I saw that I had some of my artwork favorited in the last few months, without me trying to do anything. I lastly looked at my number of followers and it's double that of the followers that I have on tumblr. I am pretty glad that I still have this site, even when I was discussing deleting my page a year or so back. I am going to keep everything here until this website dies! Also, it may be time to try and get back into drawing. It was something that gave me focus and purpose in my life for many years. I am not certain how to go about getting into the habit again? Maybe a fresh new sketchbook may help, but I want to look up some resources as well. Another thing that would be nice is to get back to interacting with people on this site. It is something that I miss. I wonder how many people that I used to talk to are still here? Pretty sure that there are still a few, but there are always new people to go and follow as well.
What is happening?
I am currently taking some time off from school and am looking for a job. I have applied to be a library aide at the county library system. I have to take an exam on Feb. 27. I hope I do well enough to get hired. Wish me luck :)
Missing this place
I haven't been on here much, but I suppose that is how things go. It seems that many people are inactive on here as well. Having some nostalgia for how things used to be lol. I started on DA back in 2004 with a different account than the one that I have now. So I have been on DA for 15 years! I am just amazed that this website has lasted for so long. Other sites that were popular in 2004, such as Myspace, has kinda gone away. I wonder if Myspace is still around? If it is, it would certainly look a lot different from the 2004 website. On the other hand, DA has stayed relatively the same, and I kinda like that. It will always be that weird litt
Update on life 2
I thought that I would tell you all what has been happening. I have been very busy. I am taking Calculus 2, weight training, and yoga at the local college. I am also tutoring Intermediate Algebra and Pre-Calculus. I have found myself involved with a local makers space, DnD group, and book club. I do still find some time to make some art, sewing, crochet and sometimes a bit of cross-stitch. My current new hobby is making prints with the 3D printer, I am still getting comfortable with it, but maybe someday I can make my own original pieces. Now what software do I use to do that? I got some research to do.

What an interesting idea. Unfortunately, it requires a mindset that I think is missing. There are a lot of people out there who expect something for their services while trying to get as much as they can out of others for nothing.
